midgety wrath!

 we're finally married! woot!

it's finally done! woohoo!!!! After 14 longggg years, Jeff and I are finally married.

This has definitely been an incredibly long journey getting to this point. And I know that it's just the beginning of an even greater adventure. We have had many many obstacles to overcome along the way, and yes, some of those obstacles were during the wedding planning process.

Tegon got in Thursday afternoon, and after Jeff and I got the marriage license (which was quick and easy and the lady was really really nice), I went up to Mom's to see her and Dad and Teg. We tried getting Tegon into her dress to no avail. Like me, she has gained weight since ordering her dress. Unlike me, she didn't drop 11 pounds 2 weeks before the wedding. So, off to David's Bridal we went in search of a dress in the color we needed and in a size that fit her. We found one. Put it on hold, and she was able to exchange it with the dress she couldn't wear anymore. It wasn't as fancy as the 1st dress but it was pretty. Thursday night was spent working on the programs (which I did allll by myself thank you very much), music, and packing. We got to bed reallyyyy late... like 2am. Got up early Friday and hit the ground running! Got my nails done, got a present for little Morgan, printed the programs, packed the cars, and then we finally we were off to Oxford!

Got the the hotel and unloaded everythinggggg. We didn't think about packing the cars in a way where we could just unload what was needed for the hotel, and what was needed for the rehearsal/reception separately. OOps. We put the gift baskets in each room, and everyone loved them! I wish I had taken a picture of the gift baskets. I was really proud of how they came out. Wine, chips, water, cokes, popcorn, chocolate, nuts, gum, and doggie treats for the dogs that came. ehehhehe They were a big hit!

Then it was off to the college! We looked over the chapel and student center and everything looked to be in order. Unfortunately, the yellow caution tape was still up around the construction.. which kinda made me upset b/c they said it would be down for the wedding. But the brick that they laid in front of the chapel looked awesome! But there was still a lot of dirt everywhere and a lot of construction left to do. And during the rehearsal and all day the day of the wedding, there were workers laying brick and pinestraw in front of the student center. That pissed me off.. it was very distracting.

We had awesome help getting stuff set up for the rehearsal dinner. I really appreciate my friend Russ for helping out, as well as Jeff's friends Bruce and Sonia that helped, even after driving over 8hrs from Florida just to come to our wedding. Those two are sooo cute and nice and sweet. Bruce stood in for Jeff since Vanessa flaked out at the very last minute (3 days before the wedding she said she wasn't coming). He even bought a tux! What a guy! The rehearsal itself was interesting. Some people butted heads, but we eventually got the walk through done. I gave the girls their presents. I had bracelets engraved for each of them, and enamel butterfly bookmarks from Brighton that were sooo pretty! And they each got a cosmetic tote with their first initial on it. I thought they were really cute, hopefully they liked them as well. After dinner we had to clean up and break everything down, and then set up for the reception. We left after 11pm. I went back to the hotel to fold the programs and then take a shower and go to bed. Jeff went out with Bruce and Sonia to Applebees and carried his tired ass in after 1:30.

Teg and I got up reallyyy early Sat morning to get our hair done. After waiting an hour outside the salon, and no one showing up, we rushed back to the hotel and had everyone, including the receptionist trying to find us a salon that could get us in!! We finally found one and she did an awesome job with both of us. yay!

Then it was back to the college to get ready. Unfortunately, since quite a bit of my stuff was in Jeff's car, and he was at the mall getting his dad's tux, and the tux for Bruce, he didn't show up until like noon! So we were reallyyy late getting a start on the pictures. But I had a blast sitting in the room in Seeney Hall talking with Tegon and Brandy and the awesomeness that was our photographer and videographer (Jen and Tiffany respectively). They are super super cool, and I'd love to hang out with them some other time they were that neat! I ran outside to get my stuff when I saw Jeff pullup, and Tegon was yelling at me not to see him. Whatever! We slept in the same bed the night before, and it just seemed silly not to see him. Of course, even after I was dressed I peaked into the room he was getting ready in. After all, we were getting pictures taken together, so he was going to see me anyways. :)

The ceremony was absolutely wonderful.. though I didn't really get to see the beautiful flowers that my Grandmuzzi and Aunt did... doh! I was so nervous and focused on the ceremony I didn't get to see. :( And right before we went in, there were butterflies hovering around my face. It was so awesome! It was like the spirits of those that Jeff and I have lost were there giving me kisses. Made me think of my grandparents and such. I almost started to lose it then. When Jeff got all choked up during his vows, that's when I, and everyone else it seems, really lost it! Eveyrone was crying at that point! And I definitely cried when I read the vows I wrote to him. I think my favorite moment was when Brian (Mandy's husband and the minister that performed the wedding), smiled to the two of us and softly said, "We're almost there guys." It was just so unbelievably sweet and intimate of a moment. I was acting all goofy and giggly from being so nervous. And when he pronounced us and said that Jeff could kiss me, I was like "Finally!!" I think even Mandy squeed!eheheheh

I got to see a lot of people that I haven't seen in suchhhh a long time, including my first step father. I burst into tears when he walked through the door before the ceremony. It was so wonderful to see him again. And I got to see my aunt, uncle and cousin who I hardly ever get to see. People kept confusing my uncle for my dad (who didn't come yet again because he had to work at the dump...like trash can't wait a day so you can see your first born get married). And getting to see my friends and the rest of my family was so special. I lovedddd the "hip table". :) Kristi made a drawing of her and her boyfriend, and of Chris and Alisa and wrote down all the topics they the table talked about. It was so awesome! And the spiffyness that is Nick drew Jeff and I in weasel form! Woot!!! I don't know whether to put it in the scrapbook or hang it up on the wall! I love that I have such creative friends. Definitely squee!

Jeff and I are kinda wishing we hadn't cut the cake so early, because we think that's why everyone left so early. I guess people stick around longer if the cake isn't cut yet... We wanted people to really have fun, and I thikn they did..but everyone seemed to leave so early. After everyone did leave, he and I got the photographer and videographers to go tromping through the woods with us behind the chapel. There's a confederate cemetary back there, and we had pictures taken there, and by some awesome trees, and I can't waitttt to see how they all come out! It's going to be fabulous! They and Jeff were amazed and laughing at me for tromping around in the mud with my wedding dress on. Hell, I was wanting to climb into the tree by the library! But alas, I didn't. I think I want to go back up to the college at some point and do another photoshoot up there. It so pretty and meaningful to us.

It took forever to break everything down, but again,we had some awesome people helping out. Then it was back to the hotel to freaking relax! We ended up at the pool eating leftover food and the cake, and drinking and swimming and having awesome conversations. It was the perfect way to end the day.

And of course there's the awesome honeymoon night nookie. But I won't bore you with those details..ehhehe.. not that it was boring in the slightest! ;)

So there ya go. Two days for a honeymoon and I'm back to work! I can't believe it's already been almost a week since we were married.

I'll put up pictures soon I promise.

I just want to say thank you to everyone.

Much love to all!!!
Taylor Rodgers!!! woohoo! I'm finally Mrs. Rodgers!

yeah, I'm a dork. so sue me.

Here comes the bride!!! All dressed in off white

So after 14 years of wanting to marry my college sweetheart Jeff, it's finally happening! The stars have aligned, God is smiling upon us, and all of those near misses has turned into a hole in one shot! We're getting married, AT LONG LAST! and all's I can say is... IT'S ABOUT TIME!! Woohoo!!!

So pack your bags, and mark your calender for Sat., Aug. 16, 2008! Oxford College of Emory University boys and girls! It'll be a day to remember and hopefully a kick ass party to boot! Unfortunately it's a "dry campus" which means no booze (at least out in the open)... so be sure to bring your flasks! ha!!! Can we say, someone spike the punch bowl! :) ehehehhe

And after the reception there's either going to be room parties going on, or we're hitting the bar or restaurant! I dont' want the good times to end! Party party party with all the friends and family (the cool ones anyways)!!!

I'm getting married in 4 months! Holy canoli! I'm soooo excited! Squee!

 ok..let's try this again...

so i've been a busy little bee, and will continue to be so! (and no nitemoves..you're not allowed to paint my naked butt yellow and black!)

it never ceases to amaze me how quickly the end of the year comes. as soon as halloween hits, it's a whirlwind of action. get ready for thanksgiving, have thanksgiving, then bust out all the christmas stuff and get ready for christmas, go nuts in a rush of buying presents for everyone, wrap, bake, cook, travel, and have christmas and all that it entails. and then it's off to have new years! after that you have to take everything down, clean up, put everything away...and try to get back into the daily grind. it's just,,, exciting and fun and stressful and exhausting!

so this past weekend i had to host my company's christmas party/dinner thingy (that i put together single handedly). and it was beautiful...and it bombed horribly! other than myself and my boss (and our significant others)...only ONE person showed up! ONE! only 5 of the 16 people i work with said they were going to come anyways, and out of those 5 people that were going to come, only 1 actually showed up. and she was 45 minutes late! and to top it all off, on monday, and since, not one person has come up to me to apologize for not attending. they've said absolutely nothing! but they wanted presents are money or whatever! sharon had me buy 10.00 target gift cards for everyone, which i put in little bags and everything. i wordlessly just put them on everyone's desks. and even then only a few poeple said thank you. it just seems that the people i work with all feel that the world owes them! that they should just be handed whatever they want. and they bitch about their jobs, which is relatively easy. they take phone calls and type in orders. not that difficult. and they bitch about it! it's like... if you don't like it.. dont' work here! it's your damn job! oh.. and get this... one of the guys that was supposed to be at the party. yesterday... one of our outside sales reps brought in breakfast for everyone, so the inside sales rep says "well i guess this is our party". and i'm thinking "no asshole, i had our christmas party, you were supposed to come to it. and you failed to show!" i was the bigger person, i didn't say anything...but god i wanted to! argh! i really can't stand this place!

anyways, so sunday was my grandparent's christmas party. so jeff and i got all snazzied up and went to that. they collect toys from the guests and give it to the local organization that passes them out to kids. so jeff and i brought 3 barbie dolls, the little people bus that walker and mason both love (so i knew it would be toddler approved), and some matchbox cars (cuz all boys love those it seems!). it was a good party. of course i knew almost no one. but i got to see marty,,,, which i see pretty much once a year. and i got to visit with the couple that used to live across the street from gmuz and buddy at their old house. and the couple (i forget their names) still live there!!! that just simply amazes me! btw nitemoves..they say hi! :) they were really sweet.

so this week.... went to the viewing of joyce's mom. :( poor joyce. i finally got to meet her girls. it was pretty amusing though to see the girls that my mother used to babysit!!! ha! just trying to imagine mom babysitting them is funny. with joyce's three daughters all have names with "d", and my mom and aunt with "d" names..that must've been a nightmare! 5 girls running around with a name that starts with "d!" how crazy is that!!! so i'm standing there listening to them talking about how they wish they could get out of there. and i'm thinking to myself "this is your grandmother's funeral." if cameron, walker, or mason said something like at mom or mary's funeral, i'd pop their little butts! maybe it was just a defense mechanism to cope with the loss or something, but it just seemed very rude to me. ..... i dunno.

so saturday i'm picking up my mommy early and we're going shopping! weeee!!!!! that'll be fun! i'm not sure how much power shopping she wants to do? but hopefully we'll find everything she wants and i'll be able to pick up some stuff too. i'm getting fairly close to being done with my christmas list. yay!!! i picked up a few presents last night! hehehehe!!! i've bought sooooo much stuff. of course, i've been christmas shopping since last christmas! ha!

so after shopping we're meeting up with jeff (swoons) and then we'll go over to deena's so we can celebrate her birthday (how old is she anyways?) and she and mom can exchange their christmas presents! yay! and we'll sing christmas carols. i've already been sequestered to sing "o holy night"...i just hope i can hit the high C again this year without warboling! doh! wish me luck!

and then sunday i'm back over at mom's early for baking (which i thought was friday night...) and i get to do that for a few hours and then jeff and i are going to mistle toe jam! woohoo!!! get to see silversun pickups --who i loveee. they're kinda like old skool smashing pumpkins. the shins, silverchair, and modest mouse! it's gonna be fun! and then back to work on monday (booooo).

and then wednesday.....i'm off to indy! squee!!!!! i am sooooo fraggin uber excited!!!! yay! i can't wait! and i'm going to get my hair all dided! hehehehehehe it'll be nice having some decent time off of work! woohoo~! 7 days off work! (including the weekend, but still). fraggin rules!!!! and the best part... i get to spend it with my family! yay! how kick assery wondermous is that!!!

other than work, life is awesomeness. poor jeff isn't feeling good :( i'm hoping he didn't catch my crud from the other week. poor thing. i should get him something to cheer him up! hmm..what to get him....

so much to do! lalalaala

must finish scrapbooks! must wrap presents!!! stuff! eheheheheh

i hate my job i hate my job i hate my job

i love my jeff i love my jeff i love my jeff i love my jeff i love my jeff!!!!!!

(thought it was good to end on a positive)

here's my and my camy boy!!!! yay!

i love this time of year

i love that i have finally gotten out of that old apt.
i love that i finally have everything in my new apt.
i love that we're finally starting to get things arranged.
i love that pretty soon we'll get to decorate the new apt and make it "ours."
i love that if we get things cleaned up soon enough, that jeff says we can get a small tree so i can decorate it!!! squee! i can't remember the last time i had a real tree!!! it makes me infinitely happy to think about having a real live tree to decorate.. even if it is a 4ft tall tree that we put on the table. eheheheh
i love that i've already wrapped up like 15 presents!
i love that i've gotten most of my shopping done.
i love that i'm so close to my family.
i love that my family loves the man in my life.
i love the man in my life! :)
i love falling asleep in jeff's arms every night. snuggling up against his back and smelling him when i drift off to sleep.
i love putting on sexy lingerie and him appreciating it.
i love having friends that appreciate me.
i love my silly cat. she apparently loves our new apt. it's like she's a kitten again... she'll run through the apt and play! she's never been a "play" type of kitty. it's really funny! and she lovesssss to sleep on our bed! i love that i have a happy kitty! it means she doesn't poop and pee all over the apt!
i love that i'm knitting scarves again.
i love it when i cook or do something where i feel a sense of accomplishment.
i love it that i have all these ideas in my head..that i feel a sense of creativity more often than not. it's a wonderful feeling to be so full of the creative spark! yay!
i love hearing christmas songs on the radio and getting to sing along with them. i'm a dork i know..but i love singing christmas songs. it's from years of being in chorus.

i love my sister and how incredibly close we've become. we've come suchhhh a long from where we started.
i love that my mom and i are friends and can pretty much talk about anything. it's pretty damn cool. you can't really be friends with your child when they're a kid. but you can be friends with your child when they're 30. and that's fraggin awesome!!!

i don't love that my favorite dj on 99x left the station and i found out this morning. it made me cry..a lot! i've been crying on and off all day b/c of it.

i don't love that i've been sick a lot lately. i'm tired all the time. and yes, i'm going to make a doctor's appt to find out why. and i talked to my neurologist's nurse, and she says the reason why i'm feeling like i'm walking around in a daze is b/c i havent been on my zoloft for over 2 weeks.. and that i absolutely must get back on it.. bad me! no cookie.

i love my life. i can't wait to get married. i can't wait to have babies. i love my boyfriend more than anything in the entire world. he is absolutely wondermous!!!!!
